Weekends are just so ripe for a delicious brunch with family and friends. The Frisco area has a great mix of family and chain brunch eateries, but where can you find the best breakfast and brunch restaurants in Frisco and Plano? Check out my personal list.

First Watch

For an award-winning breakfast, brunch and lunch favorite, look no further than First Watch for innovative creations alongside traditional dishes with all freshly prepared to order. Try the ground turkey biscuits and gravy, flavorful coffee, amazing mimosas, tasty waffles and pancakes. Oh my! And the maple bacon is the bomb! It does tend to get a bit full on the weekends, but you can call ahead or go online to get on their waitlist.

Press Waffle Co

As seen on ABC’s Shark Tank!, Press Waffle Co. specializes in fully customizable authentic Belgian waffles, savory waffle creations, plus locally roasted coffee. These guys started as a family-owned food truck in 2016 and have grown to multiple shops across state lines. Of course, you must try their majestic tower of sweetness, House Waffle. The waffle is warm, and the whipped cream on the top is cold, with strawberries and chocolate syrup in the middle. An awesome combination!

Up Inspired Kitchen

If you think finding the best breakfast and brunch spot with cleaner and more nutritious options is impossible, check out UP. They serve made-from-scratch, highly nutritious food with natural ingredients responsibly sourced and then served with pride. The menu seeks to accommodate every foodie’s desires, offering healthier alternatives and meals catering to special dietary needs (Gluten-Free, Vegan, Dairy-Free, etc.). The result is food that is truly unique and freshly made. Don’t miss the amazing coffee and espresso bar!

Barney’s Brunch House

Designated The Dallas Morning News Readers’ Choice Best Brunch in D-FW, Barney’s scratch kitchen puts a new spin on traditional brunch favorites. The “Eggs Bennie” is legit, and the Scramble and French toast are a must. It’s so good you may have to expect to wait, so take advantage of their reservations.

The Nest Café

The Nest Café brunch includes a variety of French toast and egg benedict selections. But they shine with the best coffee experience: Americano, macchiato, cortado, cappuccino, flat white, and affogato highlight our Nest favorites. Besides expresso, they offer drip coffee, pour-over coffee, cold brew coffee, hot chocolate, London fog, chai latte, and café au lait. In addition, these folks are very kid-friendly with baby changing stations.

Benedict’s Restaurant

While not content to serve brunch and breakfast only on the weekends, Benedict’s Restaurant is the perfect breakfast place any day of the week. Whether a breakfast meeting with the office team or Sunday brunch with family. The mouth-watering menu features a wide variety of omelets, Eggs Benedict, skillet dishes, and pancakes. In addition, Benedict’s takes prepared eggs in several ways on a whole new level!

Starwood Café

Starwood Café is a family-owned restaurant that boasts being Frisco’s premier breakfast and lunch restaurant. They have three locations, so it’s super easy to find breakfast in Frisco to enjoy their omelets, crepes, waffles and pancakes. Is a favorite the Whole Hog Skillet or the Cinnamon French Toast? Just order both and take home the leftovers!

5th Street Patio Café

A very popular spot for breakfast in Frisco is 5th Street. They are well-known by residents for their delicious food and catering. Because of this, there is usually a line out the door for breakfast, so arrive early (they open at 8 am). They are known for everything on the menu (really!)

Breadwinners offer breakfast and brunch options with a full menu. Known for its broad selection of items from which to choose, the menu includes French Toast, Benedicts, anything and everything, including healthy options.

Norma’s Café

Norma’s is a Texas-bred restaurant cooking from scratch! They say the fluffy biscuits and gravy put them on the map, but they are also known for their Mile High Pies.

J. Theodore

J. Theodore’s offers brunch on Saturday and Sunday from 10 am – 2 pm with something for everyone including several takes on a classic like eggs benedict. Pancakes and French toast are available, as well as a variety of new American dishes such as avocado toast or breakfast flatbreads made with locally sourced ingredients! For the more classic cocktail lovers out there, they’ve got mimosas and signature drinks, including Bloody Marys.

Momma’s Daughters Diner

Specializes in “good ol’ home cooking” at reasonable prices.

Mexican Sugar offers breakfast starting at 10 am on Saturday and Sunday, where the smell of vanilla cinnamon pancakes is delicious. They also offer a Mimosa Bar and Micheladas.

The Depot Cafe is a hidden gem. This family-owned restaurant brings back memories of old-time Frisco while offering southern-style cooking. They serve breakfast all day.
