You may be asking “where are the best 4th of July events near me?” We have your answer!

We love to kick off the summer with great 4th of July events, good friends, great food and music. And, we bet you do too.

 

4th of July Events close to home in Frisco, TX

Our nation’s birthday falls on a Thursday in 2019, and there are lots of choices to help you fill your calendar with summertime fun. So, here’s a list of some popular Fourth of July festivities and fireworks shows near home.

 

Frisco Freedom Fest, Frisco, TX – Wednesday, July 3rd & Thursday, July 4th

As usual, Frisco puts on one of the best fourth of July events in Texas, right here at Frisco Square. On Wednesday evening, join the fun of the infamous Dachshund Dash and Hotter ‘n Firecrackers 5k & Glow run. Evening events start at 6:00 pm and the race starts at 9 pm at Simpson Plaza in front of City Hall.

 

On Thursday, July 4th, start the fun at 4 pm with the Party in the Plaza featuring local entertainers and Taste of Frisco featuring favorite local restaurants. There’s plenty to do for kids of all ages, including hamster ball races, bubble tower, climbing wall, dunk tank, and free entertainment as well. This year’s headline entertainment for Frisco Freedom Fest includes The Jordan Kahn Orchestra, a fill-the-dance-floor mix of party music to get everyone moving.

 

After the fun in the sun, grab your lawn chairs, tailgate, or restaurant patio seat and get ready for one of the largest and most extravagant fireworks shows in the area which sparks up at the conclusion of the FC Dallas soccer game in Toyota Stadium.

 

Frisco Freedom Fest is free to the public. Some Children’s Expo events require tickets which can be purchased at the center of Simpson Plaza.

 

Liberty by the Lake, The Colony, TX – Thursday, July 4th

For more fun close to home, The Colony is kicking off its 34th year of Liberty by the Lake which includes the Liberty 1-mile fun run, 5K and 10K race starting at 7:45 am. Then, get into the spirit with the annual Independence Day Parade along Nash Drive beginning at 9:30 am. After the parade, the Liberty by the Lake Festival begins at 4 pm at The Colony Five Star Complex.

 

This year’s festival includes plenty of entertainment such as magic shows, a BMX stunt show, watermelon eating contest and live music by China Town Band and Yar Charles. The Fireworks Extravaganza starts around 9:30 pm. Kaboom Town, Addison, TX – Wednesday, July 3rd

Another regional favorite, Kaboom town is always lots of fun and features the Addison Air Show, live music and knock-your-socks-off fireworks show starting around 9:30 pm. Ranked as one of the top 10 fireworks displays in the country by USA Today, Kaboom Town never disappoints. 2019 Fourth of July fun features a carnival with fun rides, slides, and mazes, plus entertainment by ESCAPE- A Journey tribute band and an-after-the-fireworks party featuring Emerald City.

 

Red, White, and Boom on the Bridge, Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge, Dallas, TX – Wednesday, July 3rd

Celebrate with music, food and lots of fireworks at this picturesque location in downtown Dallas. The event starts at 6 pm and fireworks kick off at dusk.

 

Fair Park Fourth, Fair Park, Dallas, TX – Thursday, July 4th

Enjoy the Midway games, rides, and stay cool with water inflatables, and Swan Boats on the Leonhardth Lagoon. Fireworks kick off inside the Cotton Bowl around 9:30 pm. Ticket prices are $8 at the gate or $5 at BigTex.com. Rides, games, and concessions additional.

 

Grapevine’s 37th Annual July 4th, Lake Grapevine, TX – Thursday, July 4th

Fireworks are even more spectacular over the water. Grapevine’s annual July 4th Fireworks Extravaganza can be watched from numerous viewing areas including Katie’s Woods Park, Oak Grove Park, Rockledge Park, and Silverlake Park. Grapevine’s fireworks show kicks off at 9:30 pm.

 

Fireworks at Globe Life Park, Arlington, TX – Thursday, July 4th

Want the best of summer with hot dogs, baseball and fireworks? Then head out to Globe Life Park and watch the Texas Rangers take on the Angels. Fireworks immediately after the conclusion of the game. Ticket prices vary.

 

Lone Stars & Stripes, Lone Star Park- Grand Prairie, TX – Thursday, July 4th

Enjoy live racing, bounce houses, pony rides, and fireworks. Gates open at 3 pm and fireworks after the races conclude. Ticket prices apply.
