We’re all ready to shed the coats and soak up some great spring weather headed our way in Frisco.

 

Just in case you’ve been too busy with the spring cleaning to check out local events, we thought we’d give you a list of some of our favorite things to do in Frisco.

Saturday, March 18- Dallas Opera Simulcast of MADAME BUTTERFLY at The Star

Love a great opera but not ready to make the trip downtown?  You are in luck! This Saturday, The Star in Frisco will host a FREE Dallas Opera Simulcast of the classic Italian opera by Giacomo Puccini. MADAME BUTTERFLY will be simulcast live from the Margo and Bill Winspear Opera House in the Dallas Arts District. The program starts with a Fun Zone activities area from 4:30-6:30 pm, with the opera performance beginning at 7:30 PM.

 

Friday, March 24- Sunday, March 26- Texas Pinball Festival at Embassy Suites & Frisco Conference Center

Pinball anyone? Come enjoy the games, tournaments, and displays that celebrate a favorite pastime. Adult and kids welcome, hours and ticket prices vary. Pre-register at Texas Pinball Festival.

 

Saturday, March 25- Frisco RoughRiders EGGstravaganza at Dr Pepper Ballpark

Lots of fun things to do for the kids including an Easter egg hunt in the outfield, coloring and crafts, airbrush artists, a bounce house, and appearances from RoughRiders Mascots Deuce, Daisy, Ted E Bear, Bull Moose and Brooks. The free event is from 12noon – 2 pm and is open to the public.

 

Thursday, March 30- Entrepreneur Summit Frisco at Embassy Suites

Saturday, April 1-  Texas Tech Spring Game at The Star

The first collegiate football program in the country to partner with the Dallas Cowboys to host an event at The Star, the Texas Tech Spring Game will be featured on Saturday, April 1st at The Star in Frisco. Tickets are on sale now via the Texas Tech Ticket Office for $10 adults 19 years and older. All students 18 years or younger admitted with a free ticket. Parking is free.

 

Saturday & Sunday, April 1st & 2nd– Arts in the Square at Frisco Square

Ready to relax and shop after all that spring cleaning? This is the place to do it. Arts in the Square features over 120 local and regional artists selling their handmade creations. Stroll through the artists’ booths, listen to local musicians, enjoy interactive art activities and performing arts and sample food and spirits from award-winning restaurants on site.

 

April 5 – April 14 – “We are Baseball” Baseball Hall of Fame Tour at Dr. Pepper Ballpark

For baseball lovers, this is a “can’t-miss” event featuring baseball and technology integrations interwoven into the exhibits such as virtual reality, an original IMAX® movie and specially curated artifacts from The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in Cooperstown, NY. Ticket prices are $17 adults and $10 for children with student/military/senior citizen discounts available.

 

Saturday, April 8- Frisco StrEATs Gourmet Food Truck & Music Festival in Downtown Frisco

Ready to sample some of the food truck fares around? Head to historic downtown Frisco for the 5th Annual Frisco StrEATs Festival and get your grub on while you listen to live music from Moving Colors and other hot local bands. There’s a beer garden, class car show, kid’s activities area, and local artist’s exhibits.

 

Saturday, April 8- City of Frisco 25th Annual Easter Eggstravaganza at Toyota Soccer Center

The Easter Bunny is almost here!  It’s time for the City of Frisco’s 25th Annual Eggstravaganza Easter egg hunt at Toyota Soccer Center. The event is free and kids 12 and under are invited to search for more than 80,000 eggs on the fields. There’s also bounce houses, face painting, photos with the Easter bunny and plenty of other fun things to enjoy with the family. The event is from 1-4pm and the Egg hunt is at 2 pm sharp.
