Dining at some of Frisco’s Best Patio Restaurants

Except for the hottest and coldest of months, patio restaurants in Frisco TX are a perfect place to enjoy great food and great service, whether you’re on a date night or just out for a casual lunch with friends.

Many people prefer outdoor seating on a nice patio, especially during the spring and fall, where al fresco dining is most comfortable. Yet on those hot summer days, many covered patios include misting systems and fans to help take a bit out of the heat.

For a time, dining on an outdoor patio was the only option due to the pandemic. And, while COVID-19 continues to linger, many still choose the open air of outdoor dining as it offers less risk. In addition, many restaurants have a large patio offering more space between tables and staff to provide some level of comfort to patrons that still need to take precautions.

Best Patio Restaurants in Frisco you must try

Are you looking for the best patios in Frisco? Here are some of the best outdoor seating options, whether you’re looking for a great pizza or just some good food on a great patio with a great atmosphere. We have added food menu links for easy access to all the great food you will find at some of the best patios Frisco TX has to offer.

J. Theodore & their secret Speakeasy (For Date Night)

Have you been here yet? Formerly Bonnie Ruth’s, this restaurant is one of our new favorites. The redesigned interior is beautiful, and the menu features delicious fresh cuisine and hand-juiced cocktails from the craft bar. Ready for dessert? Select from scratch-baked goods from the in-house bakery, such as the red velvet cake with cream cheese icing. Y-U-M!

J. Theodore has one of the best patios in Frisco TX, providing a spectacular environment with an open-hearth fireplace, strings of twinkle lights, and a beautiful oak tree providing just the right amount of shade. When it comes to patio restaurants in Frisco, this is a local favorite! Pssst – ask your server about the secret speakeasy.

The wait staff and management here have quickly gained a reputation for going above and beyond to ensure guests leave happy and full.

Their happy hour is from 3 – 6 on weekdays and has no limitation on drink choices, with everything half off. As for food to try, you can’t go wrong with the Chicken Fried Pepperoni, Avocado Bomb, Chicken & Biscuits, Mash’D Meatloaf, and Avocado “Toast” Pizza.

Frisco Rail Yard (Fun for the Whole Family)

Have you ever gone food truck hunting only to come up empty? Open every day except Monday; the Frisco Rail Yard hosts a collection of delicious food trucks and musicians in an industrious, close-to-everything locale. As for patio restaurants in Frisco, the outdoor area of the Frisco Rail Yard is likely the largest of any establishment mentioned in this article. There are games for the kids (plus you’ll spot trains passing by now and then!), drinks for the adults, and a killer vibe when the string lights start twinkling come dusk.

The friendly bartenders are helpful in navigating the food trucks and events of the week. And speaking of events, the Frisco Rail Yard features live entertainment every Friday and Saturday night – and a great dance floor to show your stuff in the open air. It’s a great concept with even better execution.

Platia Greek Kuzina (For Greek Cuisine)

A hidden gem in the heart of Frisco. It’s difficult to recommend a dish here because everyone loves everything. But here are a few: Hummus, Saganaki (Greek cheese brought to a flame on your table – yes, please), Aegean Stuffed Pepper, Lamb or Chicken Souvlaki, The Mana Mou, and of course, Gyros. Platia is BYOB, so bring your own beer or wine for a $2.95 fee and merrily drink on the patio.

Location:

Gloria’s Latin Cuisine (For the Margarita Lover)

A little bit Salvadorian, a little bit Tex-Mex – Gloria’s makes you feel like family as you enjoy their ample dishes in a casual yet chic setting. However, it may be hard to choose from their array of margaritas. Here are a few of my favorites: spicy mango, spicy pineapple, and the signature sangria/margarita swirl. Also, try the skirt steak fajitas, banana leaf-wrapped chicken tamales, and the pupusas appetizer.

The Common Table (For Craft Beer Lovers)

The Common Table offers an active atmosphere. The open-air patio overlooks one of the most unique round-a-bout intersection you’ll find in Frisco. The patio is cozy and welcoming anytime. Enjoy a variety of dishes, including their homemade pizzas and pasta.

La Finca Coffee (Enjoy a Coffee Break)

Lots of awesome developments going on in Frisco’s Rail District. One of its newest additions to offer outdoor seating is La Finca! This lively patio has become a hot spot for locals to come by and hang out — you can’t beat the convenience of being able to walk there from anywhere else in town. La Finca is one of my favorite spots to meet up with friends to enjoy coffee and conversation.

Location:

Eight 11 Place (For the Wine Connoisseur)

Eight 11’s newly-refurbished back patio is a secret oasis in Frisco! You will enjoy warm fire pits and live music on the weekend. Also, while you’ll be impressed on your first visit, their outstanding wine bar options will bring you back!

What’s a good wine without some good food? Their wine selection complements it all. While I haven’t tried all the dishes on the menu, I’m sure they’re all as delicious as those I have.

Location:

Jake’s Uptown (For Award Winning Burgers)

If you’re looking for an award-winning burger, I recommend checking out Jakes. This restaurant and bar are just steps away from Toyota Stadium and FC Dallas. Also, Jake’s has serious bragging rights, having won multiple “best burger” awards. Its friendly outdoor patio atmosphere makes it easy to see why loyal visitors keep coming back!

If you’re looking for a place that feels like home? DiDi’s Downtown in The Rail District is the place. You will find friendly faces on the patio to enjoy some of their delicious scratch-made American fares and a different special every day. The Chef/Owner is quite gifted; you will definitely find something to love here.

If an evening out is more your style, there are always live music events on the calendar too. Can’t find a babysitter? No problem, as DiDi’s is kid-friendly, so bring them along.
