Best New Restaurants in Frisco- Time to Dine

Best New Restaurants in Frisco | Judi Wright Team

Frisco, Texas has always been a great place to live, work, and play. And now, our great little town is turning into a dining mecca also. Over the last few months, we’ve seen so many new restaurants open it’s hard to keep track and so many good ones!!!!

Here are some of the newest restaurants to open in Frisco.  Have you been yet?  I’ve checked almost everyone off of my list already!

Best New Restaurants in Frisco, TX

New restaurants at The Star in Frisco

Cane Rosso

One of the first restaurants to open in The Star, this is Cane Rosso’s 8th location in Texas.  This pizzeria serves authentic Neapolitan style pizza cooked in wood-fired ovens, plus sandwiches, pasta, and salads. And, paying homage to The Star and Dallas Cowboys, the new Frisco location even has an oven shaped like a Cowboy’s football helmet. Cane Rosso opened in July.  Don’t miss their “off the menu” specials, they are to die for!

Tri Tip Grill

Not bragging…I cook a pretty good tri-tip steak. But I have to say, this restaurant’s 35-day aged Certified Angus Beef is hands-down (or forks down?) the best tri-tip I’ve ever eaten. Tri Tip Grill opened in September and features delicious steaks, sandwiches, burgers and some great salads also. Tri Tip Grill has a great patio and is also perfect for family dinners.  Not familiar with tri-tip?  I learned about it in California and we are finding the cut more and more often at Texas specialty butcher shops.

Tupelo Honey Southern Kitchen

Need some comfort food? This is your place. Tupelo Honey opened in September and is already becoming a favorite in Frisco. Tupelo Honey features delicious, southern inspired lunch, dinner, and weekend brunches. The menu contains responsibly sourced fresh food and changes seasonally. Tupelo also has a great happy hour every day from 4-7pm. And wait, $0.75 lunch martini? That’s a great way to kick off a lunch meeting or entertain a customer.

Neighborhood Services

This restaurant inside the Omni Frisco Hotel with great views of The Star and beautiful patio seating. Neighborhood Services features American tradition fare by chef Nick Badovinus. The atmosphere is upscale yet very relaxed and friendly. The Star is the 4th location for Neighborhood Services and it opened in July.

City Works Eatery & Pour House

This 2-story restaurant and sports bar features upscale modern American cuisine, 90 craft beers and 8 wines on draft. Plus, a beautiful dining space with great patio seating. For sports fans, this could be your new hang-out! City Works has 24 HDTVs and a great vibe for hanging with your football buddies to watch the big game. City Works opened in August.  Their Buffalo Chicken Flatbread is delicious!

Mi Cocina

Mi Cocina has many locations around town and is known as much for their Mambo Taxi drink as they are for their tex-mex specialties.  Mi Cocina provides a consistently good meal, great drinks, and service that remembers your name.  Trust me, you will return again and again.  This location has a great open-air bar.

And, there are plenty more new restaurants coming soon to The Star including Dee Lincoln’s Prime & The Common Table, both opening soon.

New restaurants at Shops of Starwood in Frisco

Up Inspired Kitchen

This upscale, fast-casual diner focuses on breakfast, lunch, and brunch. The menu focuses on food that is flavorful, healthy and designed to fuel your body and mind with plenty of gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian choices.  Wanting to eat healthy?  This should be your next stop!

Bottled In Bond

The name is a little hard to remember, but not the experience. Bottled In Bond is a cocktail parlor & kitchen that is definitely worth the visit. The bar area is beautiful and has an intimate, ‘we’re all friends’ kind of vibe. If you are a whiskey drinker, you’ll be in heaven with their vast array of whiskeys and the bartenders really know their stuff. Bottled in Bond also has plenty of craft cocktails and wine if you are not into the whiskey thing. Their menu features delicious entrees such as Pan-seared Loch Etive Ocean Trout, Braised Beef Short Ribs, and of course…the Bourbon Burger.

Arepa

A fast-casual Latin Street Food and Pops café.  What is an Arepa?  It’s a bite you can’t resist, a perfect grilled Arepa filled to the edge with fresh vegetables, homemade sauces, and local meat or seafood.  They even have a bubbly bar (seriously cute idea).   The menu offers a look into this unique restaurant, definitely not the same old everyday restaurant!

Other new restaurants in Frisco

Crush Taco

I heard about this little jewel from my neighbors, talk about viral buzz. The chef is from Perry’s Steakhouse and Capital Grille, now he’s doing gourmet tacos like no one else. Crush Taco is a fast-casual kind of place, perfect for after soccer games or a family dinner. They also have frozen margaritas and local beers.  If you haven’t seen Crush Taco yet, it is located at the NW corner of Eldorado and the Dallas North Tollway.

Cork & Growler

What a fun little place. For those searching for a great growler of beer and big screens to watch a game, this new pub is a must-try. Cork and Growler has 50 craft beers on tap as well as a few wines on tap. And, it’s dog-friendly, it even features a doggie safe root beer float and doggie ice cream! Cork and Growler opened in September and is located near FM423 and Main Street in Frisco.

Nerdvana

Games and adult beverages?  Yes, please! Bring back family and friends game night at this unpretentious restaurant and neighborhood hangout. They have a menu of handcrafted dishes and a whole bunch of games ready for your group to enjoy as you sip on craft beer, wine, or cocktails. Nerdvana is located on Main Street, just east of the Tollway and also has a coffee shop next door.

Vitality Bowls

For all the health-nuts (I say that lovingly) out there, we’ve heard great things about this cafe on Eldorado off the Tollway. They specialize in acai superfood bowls, smoothies, panini sandwiches, and salads, as well as organic kombucha and cold brew coffee. Yum- can’t wait to try this place. Vitality Bowls opened in August and is off Eldorado, near the Tollway.

Forks up Frisco—we have so many great places to dine and adding more each month. Bon appetite!
